A dark new beginning

Not every office can say that it introduces elements of barbaric ancient rituals, snakes and the odd dead body as part of its working day and usually this would be considered a good thing – health and safety being what it is these days!
However, for S. J. Bolton this is everyday life, or at least it is for the characters in her books. Already the author of two successful thrillers Sacrifice and Awakening, S. J. Bolton's third book Blood Harvest launched in April and to coincide with this Box of Blue launches her new web presence.
The design for the site was visualised by creative partner Image Box and Box of Blue were then asked to turn it into a web reality. "The visuals were really strong and captured the mysteriousness of the books and the genre." said Mike Aston, Box of Blue's MD. "As we were promoting three individual books we wanted the site's visual elements to change as the user navigated through the site to get a real feel for each book individually. We also wanted this to happen dynamically to keep administration overhead as low as possible."
The site also runs S. J. Bolton's blog which has regular posts from S. J. Bolton herself as well as other guest writers.
The website is built around Microsoft ASP.NET and SQL Server.
